Bali diary part 1 | Seminyak

It's been a while since I'm back home but I would still like to share some of my photos from my little adventure to Bali and Australia. On June 21st I walked to the China Southern Airlines counter and checked in my suitcase. I still couldn't believe that I was about to fly to Indonesia. My first stop was in Changsha, China. On the plane were a lot of backpackers who had a connecting flight to Thailand but there was one girl who went to Bali as well. We then boarded the next plane to Guangzhou where we had a 10 hour (!) stopover. We mostly spent our time sleeping on the floor because we couldn't leave the airport since we had no visa for China, which we obviously didn't need for a stopover. I booked that flight because it was cheap but if I learned one thing from that experience, it is that I'd rather spent a few more bucks on a more convenient connecting flight next time. Anyway, after a 5 hour flight from China to Bali I arrived at around 3:30 am in my beautiful little apartment.

On my first morning I went to the most amazing place called "Café Organic". I've found it on instagram. They have so many healthy and delicious meals! I had a "pineapple ship" made of different types of fresh fruit and a berry smoothie. They also serve savory meals like avocado on toast or omelette with veggies. The staff is super sweet but the prices are definitely european standard. That's the thing about Bali: You can either spend 2$ on food a day or 20$. Obviously I didn't go there every single day but it was my little special treat for starting my adventure.

One evening I walked down a street hoping to find a nice beach to take some pictures of the sunset. As you can see there are no sidewalks and the streets are quite narrow so you almost never see people walking. Literally everyone owns a scooter or a car.

Even if you can't really tell by the picture but the bar was loaded with people and you could hear the loud music playing from miles away. Apparently it was the place to be in the evening, for locals and tourists.

Stay tuned for more pictures from Ubud, Uluwatu and Australia! x

Big Apple

Hey guys,
I am back! My trip to New York City has been amazing. My first taxi ride from JFK to my apartment in Brooklyn was terrible, though. The taxi driver told me that he didn't know the address so he stopped in the scariest neighborhood in Brooklyn and asked people who were walking by whether they knew where he had to go. Also he drove like he was drunk and my suitcase and I were basically sliding from one side of the car to the other. After an hour he finally managed to find the place. I was super relieved, so I unpacked my stuff and jumped on the subway to Manhattan. I went downtown to  Brooklyn Bridge, Broadway and the 9/11 Memorial.
On my second day I started from Union Square and strolled down Fifth Avenue. I was super excited about Rockefeller Center. As you can see: The view is insane! Definitely worth the 33 $.
After a little break at Starbucks I kept on walking up Fifth Avenue to go to Central Park and Park Avenue. I did some shopping and in the evening I stopped at Grand Central Station and Times Square but my camera battery died unfortunately.
On my last day I also went to Columbus Circle which is such a beautiful place for taking pictures. I walked down Broadway and took lots of photos all day long!

From Mainhattan to Manhattan

1,5 weeks ago I spent the weekend in Berlin and I got my very first tattoo which I absolutely love. I now understand why a lot of people say that once you start getting inked you just can't stop anymore. I believe I've became addicted as well. I already have 2-3 other tattoos in my mind but I'll definitely wait to make sure that I won't change my opinion. Anyways, I'm back in Germany's Manhattan (Frankfurt has a lot of skyscrapers that's why people call it like that) but next week I'll be in the real big apple for a few days. Yesterday I realized that I'll be in NYC exactly when NYFW starts! Unfortunately I'm not a big fashion blogger so nobody invited me haha! But I'll have a few super busy days ahead anyway since it's going to be my first time there and I want to see as much as possible.

Frankfurt is so underrated!

First time in Amsterdam

In August we spontaneously decided to take a short trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands.
I have been to the Netherlands once before when I was a little kid but I have never been to the beautiful capital of Amsterdam.
We stayed at the five star Okura hotel which was located close to bars, the tram and lots of other stores and restaurants. The hotel lobby was gorgeous and I took snaps all the time!
Everyone says that Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe which is 100% true!
